Ghosts, Games, And Grins At BCES Carnival

There were a lot of games and activities to keep everyone busy at the Carnival. Mya Hatch takes part in the Candy Bar walk.

The Black Canyon Elementary School PTO held their annual Halloween Carnival last Wednesday.  Children of all ages full of excitement and anticipation burst through the front doors of the school dragging their parents behind them.  The costume clad youngsters waited anxiously in the ticket line where their parents purchased their passes for a wide variety of games.  Many of the teachers, who joined in on the fun by dressing up in costumes themselves, had transformed their classrooms into carnival type game rooms.  The games brought laughter, prizes and treats to the participants.  Some of the games included spider races, plinko, a candy bar walk, a ping pong ball toss and many, many more.  One of the most popular games was the ring toss where kids would toss rings at two liter bottles of pop.  If you ringed the pop you got to keep it.  As always there was a great turnout for the event.  The youth were able to run around and enjoy the activities with friends while their parents took the opportunity to catch up with one another bringing friends and neighbors together.  The PTO was thrilled with the success of this year's carnival and was grateful for all those who donated items and helped with putting on this event.
